Hello Everyone,

I have been suffering some serious internet access problems these days, so this is coming very late -- please accept my apologies.

here is today's Hallowe'en appropriate bird for you to identify, courtesyt of photographer, Richard Ditch;

and here's yesterday's mystery birds, courtesy of Marv Breece;

And yes, I am going to hold off identifying both these mystery birds for 48 hours to give those of you on "digest" a chance to play the game, too.

the most recently identified mystery birds include the Phainopepla, Phainopepla nitens, courtesy of photographer Richard Ditch;

and the gorgeous image of the Northern Hawk-Owl, Surnia ulula, courtesy of professional photographer, Lee Rentz;

I would also like to point you to my DonorsChoose 2008 Challenge classrooms -- nearly all of which have been funded by my readers (who include YOU!). Of all the classroom challenges that I am proudest of is this one, whioch was fully funded tyoday, thanks to donations from quite a few of my bird pals as well as some of my friends from overseas (yes!!);

There are only a few hours left in the donors choose challenges, so please donate, even if you donate only one dollar or five dollars, or twenty dollars, to helping impoverished classrooms provide a decent level of science education for their -- OUR!! -- kids.

cheers,
