Hello All
Today was an excellent day to be birding the Foothills Trail in Pierce
County. The morning started out chilly but it cleared and warmed up as the
day went on. Migrants were in nearly every patch of willows and alders along
South Prairie Creek and elsewhere. Raptors began moving in good numbers as
the day heated up. Highlights were an adult Golden Eagle seen soaring for 10
minutes with an adult and immature Bald Eagle, and an HY male American
Redstart at the "unmarked intersection" shown in this Google Map:
