Hello everyone:

This morning around 8:00 am an adult Tufted Puffin surfaced near shore just
north of the Alki Lighthouse, amid a mixed flock of gulls. I put the scope
on it until it dove again. I did not see it resurface after that. Still,
if you're birding the saltwater in mid-Puget Sound over the next few days,
you might keep an eye out for it. All of its breeding plumage features were
still intact, though starting to show streaks and fading.
