Today I was able to get away to see the LITTLE BLUE HERON at
Snith & Bybee Lakes. Thanks for all of the postings on this bird it was
easy to find, I had missed seeing several of the others reported in
Oregon over the last thirty years. There were about 20 BLACK SWIFTS there
when I visited at about 11 AM.
Afterwards I went to Vancouver Lake in hopes of finding
shorebirds there but the water level there still remains high, the only
bird of interest was an adult RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKER in a hawthorn tree
in Vancouver Lake Park.
