Russell Koppendrayer just called me to report he found 2 Stilt Sandpipers at the Mint Farms mitigation Ponds in Longview. This is a 'County First' for Cowlitz Co.

I will report what I find Sat. evening. I plan to check the ponds out after I get off work tomorrow morning.

To get there take HWY 432 (thruck route) going west past the bridge (HWY 433) to Oregon from Longview. Go to Prudential Blvd and turn north on it. Go to Crocker Ave. and go to the end. Walk acrross the field to the mitigation ponds. If there is construction going on like on the week days then park halfway back on Crocker where you can get off the paved road.
