I agree entirely with Gene Hunn, for what it's worth. Your great
photos allow us to see the progression of its wing molt, always very
interesting.

California Gull is probably the most common gull in Washington at
this time of year, thousands of them all over coastal areas. Kayaking
around Dungeness Bay today, we probably saw 3,000 of them, with
another 1,000 at Ediz Hook.
