Hi. After seeing Mike and Marry Lynn's post we got up in the dark
and headed for Windust park .. Only one other car there and we
thought to see a parking lot full. several drove in right after us.
Anyhow just as we started for the area near the house Dave Irons
and the other birder with him called out that they had it. We all
had good looks as it worked the tree near us. It then flew down to
the large tree south of the house again we could all get looks at it.
As we were watching it flew down to some dripping water almost at our
feet. We were all able to see the markings very good. From this
point the reddish brown tail area was well seen.
A quick dash up to Washtucna found the place alive with birds.
the BLACKPOLL WARBLER, came and bathed almost at our feet . A
NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH showed up for a short time.
Didn't see the Bell's Vireo. Most everything others have seen was
there.
What a day to bird.
