Yesterday around noon I had a shrieking Scrub Jay in the yard, or more accurately in the yard next door, amidst (accosted by?) a flock of noisy chickadees, nuthatches, and wrens. The last Scrub Jay seen from our yard visited our feeder area above the deck in 2002.
