Thank you to Larry Schwitters for responding and giving me info on Flickr.com What a great way to share pictures. Please leave comments if you'd like, for now I'll just include pictures (if you want to share video you have to join and pay a fee)...I'm not familiar with the site yet so I'll settle for the freebee! Thanks again for the direction...now I can share our bird with you all!
Best,
Shoni

First, thank you to everyone who responded to my first inquiry on our visitor! The information has helped a bunch.Well, obviously our little friend is still here! Over the past week I've noticed some 'display' of back feathers (but she/he/it has no train) also over the last two days she's taken to honking in the morning. I don't know if this is because the stellars are around now more than they have been or what...if anyone could say why she'd be honking I'd be grateful. Also, she's dropping quite a few brown wing feathers. Is this a bad sign? They're large...I've taken a bunch of photos of her, and could share, but I don't know how to do it...should I attach to this mail? She has a brilliant neck (blue-green) and spotted white, black and blue-green body with brown underfeathers on the wings. I've been trying to research online, but the information is really limited...surprisingly. Anyway, I have learned that it's near impossible to distinguish between an adolescent male and adult female, so though we think it's a girl, we're waiting for the train to show up! I worry for her as far as a mate goes...I wonder if she'll need one. Anyway, I hope to get something put together for her for when the cold weather gets here...if she's still around. Thanks again for all the help!Shoni
