Hi Birders,

The numbers were not great, but there were at least nine species of shorebirds scattered along the south beaches of Soap Lake this morning including a Black-bellied Plover, American Avocets (5) and Sanderlings (4).

The other shorebirds were Killdeer (45), Greater Yellowlegs (2), Pectoral Sandpipers (4), Baird's Sandpipers (8), Western Sandpipers (35), and Least Sandpipers (12).

Other birds present included American Pipits (2) and a Eurasian Collared-Dove cooing from the lake side trees.
