hi tweeters -for what it's worth, when i was young + lived in calgary 30+
yrs. ago, we hiked in banff park-there gray jays were known as whiskey
jacks from a native word or CAMP ROBBERS!!!- i remember they were very
''cheeky'' + bold + on more than one occasion ,had them swoop down while
we were eating lunch + grab sandwich parts right out of your hand,
uninvited-common knowledge was they'd eat almost anything-so says
sibley-seeds,fruit,insects+carrion -he missed the sandwiches + roasted
