Hi All,

Yesterday I spent a great deal of time drying my optics as I hit a few
of my local spots over here on Bainbridge Island. But the inconvenience
was worth it. Plus, dare I say it is probably time to get use to it -
dang! With the drippy weather I actually noted an increase in migrant
activity than what I was experiencing during the warm sunny days.

Highlights included good numbers of zonos and Lincoln's Sparrows at a
farm area in the central part of the Island. Included was a
White-throated Sparrow - perhaps a tad bit early. Stragglers at this
spot included two Wilson's Warblers and a Swainson's Thrush.

By far the highlight bird for the day was a fall-plumaged BOBOLINK found
on the west-side of the Island at Battle Point. Even though the call
should have given the bird away I struggled initially with the I.D. as I
have not seen one in fall before. Apparently it was a one day wonder as
I was not able to re-locate it today.

Cheers and good Fall birding,
Brad Waggoner
