Hi Everyone,

The calendar now says it's fall, the weather is definitely saying fall, the vine maples are turning color and...the birds agree. Yesterday (Sunday) morning, I saw a single WESTERN GREBE (WEGR) on Sikes Lake near Carnation. This morning (Monday) I drove by Lake Tye in Monroe (along Fryelands Road) and stopped to check out some non-duck forms on the lake. These consisted of three WEGR's and a HORNED GREBE. First of the season for me for both species.
