This morning at feeding time I counted 88 WOOD DUCKS at my pond! About 75%
were drakes with many in full plumage. They have also learned how to eat out
of my bird feeder. There were 20 of them on and around it this morning.

Also at the feeder were 3 GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROWS, the first ones this fall.
Of course my friendly juvenile male PILEATED WOODPECKER shows up 2 or 3
times a day and is quite tame. You can see several pictures of him at my
website; www.photos.rlkimages.com <http://www.photos.rlkimages.com/>
and click on the woodpecker album.
