Hi,

This afternoon, about 4 pm, Duane Karna and I saw 2 Pacific Golden Plovers in the 'limed' field on Maupin Road, Fir Island, Skagit. From Fir Island Road, coming from Conway, turn left onto Maupin Road. After the sharp right turn before the dike, there is a house on the right (east) side of the road. The birds were in the field on the east side of the road and a few hundred yards beyond the house. The same field as occupied by Buff-Breasted Sandpipers last fall.

They were mixed in with approximately 15 Black-bellied Plovers. Many American, or Buff-bellied Pipits, in the same field.

In West Edison we observed several Euro Collared Doves.

Cheers, Steve
