Howdy Tweets,

While out yesterday afternoon on Black Lake, Thurston County, a storm front coming off of the coast made its way over the lake with gusty winds, rain showers (oh boy...rain)....as well as a lone Sabine's gull (ok, rain is more tolerable now). It was in breeding plumage still and seemed to be content spending its time out in the middle of the lake, dipping down to catch things off the surface of the water. It was there around 3 pm and for some time after that afternoon, although I could not keep my attention on it due to work needs....maybe still in area?

Also had decent flocks of evening grosbeaks and one larger flock of siskin as far as roaming birds....hello fall (except for the rain part, oh well)!

Good birding,
Chris Anderson
