This afternoon, at 3:15, I saw 15 Turkey Vultures soaring south along the west side of Beacon Hill.

Yesterday I had a western scrub-jay in Rainier Beach, on Renton Avenue S just south of S. Kenyon Street. I've had 2-3 scrub-jays in my yard on Beacon Hill for serveral years now. There are a lot of masting oaks at the entrance to Seward Park, and I keep thinking it would be another great place for a scrub-jay to turn up.
