Subject: [Tweeters] A nuthatch on my knee

I was sort of meditating in sun near my empty bird feeder this morning, eyes
closed just enjoying the fall warmth when I felt something on my pant leg.
Suspecting a chipmunk I slowly opened my eyes and without moving my head
looked as far down as I could see. A second later a nuthatch hopped up onto
my knee, and looked keenly up at me, as if to say....Hey, what's the deal
with the empty bird feeder? It then flew over to the empty feeder and again
seemed to look engagingly at me so I obliged and filled up the bird feeder
which I let go empty all summer. It is now being swarmed by chickadees, so I
guess the word goes out fast in these parts.
