Hi Tweets,

It is a sunny morning in Edmonds. It started out cold (below
freezing) but warmed up and the Sound is fairly calm. Of note, the
Red-necked Grebes and Horned Grebes are showing alternate plumage,
even though the Pigeon Guillemots hanging around the pier were still
in basic plumage. There is still no evidence of Purple Martin
scouts. A Power That Is must have decided to open the tide gate this
week because there has been lower water levels and more mud in the
Edmonds Marsh. Now we just need some migrating shorebirds! And
still waiting to see a Rufous Hummingbird around the Marsh or Willow
Creek Hatchery. Here's what we saw this morning:
