Hello All,

Today was our first kind of warm , clear sunny day in a long while. We
headed west to the Columbia River. We came across Pat and Bob Woodley and
really enjoyed our time birding with them. Birds of interest we saw
today.......

Rough-legged Hawk......1ad. dark morph along Byrnes Rd.
Harlans Red-tailed Hawk....1 ad. on Byrnes Rd.
Canyon Wren......1 singing west of Port Kelley
Peregrine Falcon.....1 ad.near Port Kelley
White-throated Swift......12 birds near Port Kelley
Greater Scaup.......40 birds near the Wallula Grain Terminal
Barrows Goldeneye.....1 pair at Wallula Grain Terminal
Western Grebe.....46 birds at Two River HMU
Red-necked Grebe.....1 ad. at Two Rivers HMU, rare in this area.
Greater-white Fronted Geese.......600 birds near Casey Pond
Osprey......1 ad. at nest platform, Burbank Heights HMU
Red Crossbill.....1 ad. female at the Burbank Heights HMU, very unusual at
this site.
Eurasian Wigeon......3 ad. males on the millet field, Wallula HMU
Dunlin.......52 birds at the Wallula HMU
Tricolored Blackbirds......2 ad. males in our garden this evening at 7 PM,
College Place. Feding on white millet. They should be here in the morning.
