Hi All,

A lovely Red Fox Sparrow (P. i. iliaca) visited my feeder area this
evening. Even though it didn't officially make for a new yard bird, I
was thrilled. The bright rufous tail with contrasting gray rump,
streaked mantle, rusty auriculars and crown on otherwise gray head (and
nape) make for one very showy Fox Sparrow. I took some brief video
footage of it, but I'm hoping for a second chance at seeing this bird
again tomorrow.

I also had my first singing Orange-crowned Warbler earlier in the day.
Finally, it feels like Spring!
