Subject: [Tweeters] Rufous Hummingbird in Maple Leaf

Tweeters,

I see Rufous Hummingbirds every year in our Maple Leaf yard, much
more often in late summer than spring. Just now I saw the second
mature male I've ever seen. A female Anna's had just left the feeder,
and this bird flew in (probably watched the other one leave). The
other mature male was on April 29, 2008. They certainly don't breed
around here, so perhaps these are birds heading north toward Alaska.
