I saw my first Red-naped Sapsucker of the year today along Wenas Creek just before the Wenas Campground. The bird flew to a fence post and drummed right in front of my truck. A pretty cool first of the year sighting.

There are also still Clark Nutcrackers in the ponderosa pine zone feeding on the super abundant ponderosa pine cones from this winter.
