Hi Tweeters,

We received confirmation last night that the pair of peregrines breeding at the Washington Mutual Tower laid their first egg of the season yesterday.
If you would like to follow the breeding events online at their nest box this year, go to www.frg.org, and then click on Urban Peregrines. There will be a link to the online camera there. I find that I have to refresh it once to get the image going. You can also see them live on the monitor in the Chase bank lobby at Third and University.

In addition, we are expecting the three satellite-tagged peregrines in Chile (Sparrow King, Elizabetha and Island Girl) to begin their migration back to North America this week. You can follow them online at the same site. Click on Southern Cross Peregrine Project for that one. If you have Google Earth on your little glowing box, it will enhance the experience greatly. If all goes well, this will be Sparrow Kings third migration north since we tagged him. I guess that is some sort of record.
We are going to try to blog both events each day to update people on the two projects. You will be able to find these on the same FRG site.
Enjoy....
