Hi Tweeters,

After work I stopped in my old neighborhood of Allentown of many moons ago to see if the Osprey have returned to the nest. The nest is on, go figure, a cell tower inside a railroad yard that is off I-5 and near the northern border of Tukwila. The best viewing is near a small business, I could not not see the Osprey today and the business folks were looking at me strangely.

I went around to E Marginal and noticed a trail along Green River. I took a walk downstream and saw my earliest ever Canada Goose goslings, 4 of them. I don't know how to age goslings but they were not the freshly hatched bright yellow but they were still downy. This is one hardy mother goose to sit on eggs and protect them in the cold cold weather we have had.

I drove home on Interurban and noticed both Osprey are back on the cell tower nest near the Sounder Tukwila station. When I got home a bird that might have been a gull but hard to say through the trees came into view and started kekking, another Osprey! I think I have seen them only once, maybe twice fishing Lake Meridian.
