A couple of days ago a rather small raptor visited my backyard for a
couple of minutes. It seemed to me to be smaller than any Sharpshin
I've seen, and also darker and browner, with yellow legs. However it
was ~50 feet away and I did not have my binocs. Could it have been a
Merlin? I live in the Ravenna neighborhood of Seattle.
