Hi Tweets,

It's a good thing there are other birders around because without them I would be seeing only Robins, Finches, and LBJ's (Sparrows etc.). Thanks to the unknown birder who pointed out the Dunlin on Shovelers Pond at the Fill, them ran to let Connie Sidles know it was there. Also thanks to Amy who, without bins, saw a pair of American Pipits, and to Connie who told me about them. It was a fairly cold but pretty darn good day at the Fill.

I thought my surprises were done for the day until I visited Yost Park in Edmonds. As I started down the main trail into the bowl I spotted, all by myself, an unusual looking bird. It was a Leucistic Northern Flicker foraging on the trail.

What a GREAT DAY!!
