Today, this soggy Easter Sunday afternoon, I observed a very white
immature gull at the Treasure Island Park "mudflats" - speak -lawn- in
Twin Lakes. It appeared to be somewhat larger then the Glaucous-Winged
Gulls in its company. It almost matched a 1st winter Glaucous Gtll,
however the bill was almost completely black, more like an Iceland
Gull. Legs were pink and eyes dark. Wings were starting to get gray,
but primaries were very white when flying. The bill on a Glaucous Gull
should only have a black tip. Any ideas from any of our gull experts
out there?

Thanks,

Hans Feddern
