Hi Tweeters!
If you are interested in learning more about the native plants that make up the habitat of our feathered friends you might be interested in this program that the Washington Native Plant Society is offering for free over in Bellevue, Kirkland, Sammamish and Issaquah and East King Co.

Want to learn more about Washington's native plants, native plant
communities and habitat restoration? Now's your chance to get in on a great
program offered by the Washington Native Plant Society.

Applications for this ten week training program are being accepted through
this Friday - April 17th.

The course is offered on 10 consecutive Fridays beginning April 24th.
Classes will be held in Bellevue and are taught by professionals.

Topics include botany, soils, restoration, watersheds, native plant ID,
landscaping with natives, managing invasive weeds, and the latest hands-on
techniques that get results.

Native Plant Stewards will be assigned habitat restoration projects in
Issaquah, Sammamish, Kirkland, Bellevue and an East King County Park to put
what they've learned to work.

You'll work with a team of friends you've made during the program to design
and implement a habitat restoration project.

If you have the time -- it's a terrific program you'll want to be part of,
especially if you live in east King County.

Happy Birding!
Cheers,
Laura
