dropped into the rowing club looking for the barred owl, but it pwned me pretty badly... as a consolation prize, i was rewarded with about a dozen gorgeous breeding-plumage yellow-rump audubons flitting all along the trail, mostly around that same willow tree...

singing and calling were robins by the boatload, a few marsh wrens, a singular bewick's wren, and at least one common yellowthroat.

oh, and there is a robin's nest right on the water at the club's put-in. it is well-camo'd, and i only saw it when i watched a bird go in and not come out... :)
