It's official. The Killdeer are indeed nesting in my neighbors yard.

We see them running around the beach, our lawn and the neighbors lawn at all hours of the day and night. Today, my neighbor and I were discussing their apparent distress and attempts to have use move to other parts of the lawn, but after a week, still could not find their nest.

Well I did find it finally. About 3 ft past the end of the tulips in a flower bed by my pe patch & no-man's land (which is usually full of cats & rats). I also got to witness the full distraction display on the parent's part with the fluttering and chittering in the lawn to show us just how "injured" they were.

I've included a link to the triptych of the one bird and then you can also see the two pictures of the nest with the eggs in place in my photostream.
