On tuesday I visited T105, T107, and Herring House Parks on the Duwamish river looking for the Clark's Grebe. I found 6 Westerns, but no Clark's. As Herring House doesn't have much of a view downriver (north of Kellog Island), I went around to the view park off of East Marginal Way. The results were the same.

Today, under better conditions, I went straight to the park on the east side of the waterway and found the Clark's Grebe within about a minute. This time I went about an hour later (10:30 to 11) and the tide was a higher. I don't know if this made a difference, although it didn't seem to make a difference to the 6 Westerns who were still there in groups of 2 and 4. Besides the obvious field mark of the line going over its eye, it seemed to me the Clark's had a slightly lighter gray back and had a slightly mottled look compared to the Westerns.
