Tweeters,

In last Thursday's Seattle Times Entertainment Section note the bit
about welcoming back the swifts to Monroe's Wagner Elementary School.
The main event is a free screening on the new and very well done "On
the Wing", the story of the spectacle of Portland's Vaux's Swifts.

Wagner Elementary is like right in the middle of Monroe, and the
auditorium is like right in the middle of the school. Film starts at
4 PM.

Just how many real birds will show up for their bedtime at Monroe
tonight? Two nights ago I documented probably the first 09 Puget
Sound roosting Vaux's Swift. Just a single bird entered the Selleck
chimney at 8:14. Last night he flew over the Monroe chimney, didn't
see any of his friends in there and moved on.

Got a report of large numbers of Vaux's at the Agate Hall site in
Eugene Thursday.

Bird walk at 2:00.
