Hi Tweets,
We had what we think are the season's first peeps trickle in this
morning to Edmonds Marsh--two WESTERN SANDPIPERS. Yesterday there
were two AMERICAN PIPITS. The BARN SWALLOWS are back, the VIRGINIA
RAIL and the WILSON'S SNIPE are making appearances. There are also
two active BUSHTIT nests along the red walkway. Last year there were
seven active GREAT BLUE HERON nests. This year there are thirteen.
From the Point Edwards Public Path we saw a TURKEY VULTURE circling
over the vicinity of Yost Park. As we were watching it a CASPIAN
TURN flew towards and then over Point Edwards, coming from inland and
heading toward the Sound. Birds seen this morning:
