A second hand report of a Barred Owl in Interlaken Park, Seattle at
the bottom end of the park (the old 1930s road area) on Saturday
morning given to me by a runner (a little bit on each lap!) and a mom
heading to school. Might be worth a look or a listen.

Whilst walking in Interlaken Park I saw a couple of Hermit Thurshes
skulking at the top end of the park. Sun is now starting to
illuminate most of that ravine. Nesting flickers, Winter Wren singing.

Nothing too exiting in Volunteer Park, Seattle recently but two less
usual birds for the park. I saw two Chestnut-backed Chickadees
together (lots of chickadees but the Chestnut is uncommon in the
park) and two Savannah Sparrows (seemed to be a pair) in typical
prairie feeding behavior in the Amphitheater field: sitting in a tree
then dropping into the eye height grass (quite long for a park!) to
feed.
