My fault...I was so intent on getting it down I put down the wrong bird! Not
mis-identified, just mis-spoken. The bird seen today on the beach north of
Ocean Shores was a male, breeding plumage Lapland Longspur...sorry about
that. I hate when I do that...makes me feel like a doddering old fool. Black
face, rufous neck, white "trim", stood up as though trying to look
taller...still a beautiful bird. As I was about to add it to the county list
I realized my error.
