The number of chipping sparrows rose to 5. I looked at past records here at the house and last year at this same time I had two.

I do get excited about sparrows because i do not get many but today when I got home from work I found 4 white-crowns, a fox and a chipping sparrow under the feeder. Not bad for my yard. Another note I have not seen an American goldfinch lately and have two as well. Siskins have been here for a while.
