It's that time of year when Hummingbird Activity at Snoqualmie Pass is
plentiful. I am averaging around 70 ounces of nectar use each day and that
may climb some more as well as level out to the middle to end of May before
increasing again in July.

Rufous Males are the most common species seen here. There are a number of
females in the area as well. An occasional migrating calliope may be seen,
but is rare. As well, Anna's are seen, but seldom.

If you would like to check the activity out. Feel free to stop by as
activity can easily be viewed by the road.

To get here:

Take Exit #54. Go south towards Hwy 906. Go across Hwy 906 into Hyak
residential neighborhood. Come to three way stop that most people ignore.
This road will curve to the left and down a hill. It curves back to the
right as it flattens out. House is third one down, 69 E Hyak Drive. Most
activity can be seen on the left side of the house.......
