Hi Tweeters:

Mid-May my partner and I will be heading to Malheur Nat'l Wildlife Refuge. We'll be travelling from Okanogan WA south, travelling on Hwy 395 through thePendleton, John Day areas and then ending up near Burns, OR.

If anyone has any particular hot spots, must-see birds, etc. for this area I'd appreciate any tips you can share.

Also, anyone know if there is a birding list serve for the Oregon area?

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

Here in Okanogan we've got lots of spring birds showing up. We had a huge number of white-crowned sparrows at our feeders yesterday - over 100! A great pair of wood ducks hanging around our place. Spring has (almost) sprung!

Great birding to all...

Heather
