Just a quick update. On he morning constitutional with the dog, spotted the Killdeer family on the beach. Looks like all 4 little ones made it through their first 24hrs.

They are quite adept at cruising up and over debris, running along the tops of logs and running for cover when the "folks" tell them to. There is one that does mot seem to either pay attention, or might not be strong enough, as it seemed to do it's own thing and lag behind the rest, making one of the folks come and show ti which way it SHOULD be going instead of checking me out.

We're keeping our fingers crossed. I'm off to Ocean Shores today for the weekend, so my neighbor has been charged with updating me upon my return Sunday night.
