Still one Western Kingbird at the Fill this afternoon, perching on the willow wands near the main pond, then in the alder tops along the SE corner.? Also still a Hermit Thrush bobbing for berries in the ivy in that same area.? Best bird award, for my money, goes to the gorgeous drake Blue-winged Teal which mostly hid behind the small willows along the stadium-side of the main pond.
Also worth sharing is the correction I've received from a few tweeters re the acceptance of birds by local Audubon for skins rather than just skeletons.? I'm hearing that the Seattle Audubon in Wedgewood DOES this, unlike the little office of Nat'l Audubon I visited in Seward Park.? Thanks again for all the info!
