A single Pine Siskin is still coming to my feeder in town, lost among 40+
White-crowned Sparrows and dozens of goldfinches. White-crowns and Savannah
Sparrows seem to be here in big numbers right now. Potholes Reservoir had
about 80 Bonaparte's Gulls just east of Mardon Resort. At Royal Lake today
there was a single white goose with a dozen small Canada-type, and size
(from quite a distance) indicated Ross's Goose. Scott Downes was at County
Line Ponds so might be reporting what was there. I eventually got into the
Para potato ponds around 6 pm and was impressed by breeding plumage of many
shorebirds. At that location:

Western Sandpiper 1 or 2

Least Sandpiper 45+

BAIRD'S SANDPIPER 1

Dunlin 200+

Greater Yellowlegs 1

Lesser Yellowlegs 30+

Killdeer 6

Semipalmated Plover 1

American Avocet 2

Black-necked Stilt 125+

Also lots of American Pipits. Still haven't found any phalaropes or
dowitchers.
