If anyone jumped into their car today on account of my mistaking a Great Egret for a Snowy Egret, then contact me directly and allow me to defray your wasted gas expenditure. I feel quite foolish and hope I didn't inconvenience anyone. Too many childhood years on the east coast where snowy egrets were almost a "junk" bird. But the yellow bill and black legs were definitive of today's great egret sighting.
