Hello,



Today while running, about 12:30 pm, I saw an adult male Western Tanager just west of the intersection fo N. 82nd St. and Bagley Avenue, in the Licton Springs neighborhood north of Greenlake. I spotted it flying, thinking it was one of the waxwings I'd been hearing, but then?it landed on a wire and perched for perhaps a minute, long enough for me to see that it was a Western Tanager. After that it flew into some trees and I lost track of it. This is the first time I've seen one within Seattle outside of spring migration.
