???? Being a NJ native I've birded Cape May county extensively.?? A car would be extremely helpful to visit many of the sites.? In?late October there will still be many raptors and passerines migrating through.?? The hawkwatch platform in Cape May Point State Park is the best place for migrating raptors.?? Passerines can be abundant at Higbee's Beach WMA.? Also the TNC Cape May Meadows preserve is a "must see".?? The Cape May Bird Observatory office/store ("Northwood") in Cape May Point is a great place to check the hotline for recent sightings and they have a great map of the local birding sites.???Check out their list of "drop in" birding field trips.
??? After birding there are several good restaurants in Cape May, e.g., "The Black Duck" on Sunset.? Most restaurants are "dry"....so BYOB.
