I checked the new Toysmith mitigation wetland (in Auburn south of 277th and
just east of the SR-167 freeway) about noon today, Saturday, August 8, and
was rewarded with six LEAST SANDPIPERS (mix of adults and juveniles), five
adult LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS, single juvenile SEMIPALMATED PLOVER and LESSER
YELLOWLEGS, plus the usual killdeers.
