Hi Tweets,

As I write this a juv GHO is chasing it's parent thru the woods begging for food. The parent is talking back to the youngster. I think the young owl is hunting for itself because earlier it was on the ground. I first noticed this young owl on the 25th of June, we are now going on to week 6 of following the parents and begging. So my question is how long will the GHO parent feed the young? I am also assuming this is the same owls I have been hearing for over 5 weeks. I have been told that GHOs are very territorial, so I don't think this is a new parent and young.
Does anyone have any more information or ideas?
