Hello Tweeters,

Yesterday (Friday) afternoon about 4 PM I toured the "Fill" and
checked the 5 acre burn area (from the 7/29 fire). At the south end east of
the main pond there was a flock of about 40 or 50 dusty olive yellow birds
feeding on the burned area. All the birds looked similar with pale wing
stripes but no striking identifying markings. They seemed significantly
larger than goldfinches, about robin size. Unfortunately I left my scope in
the car, but my bins and a couple of books didn't provide me with
identification. Would appreciate anyone's information on what I saw.
