We had three Willow Flycatchers at the place over the weekend, not a typical bird for us and staying at in tall alders and understory, seemed atypical. Figured these were birds-of-the-year from nearby. Also, a PURPLE MARTIN was over the military housing area just north of the South Meadow at Discovery Park last Wed, August 5. Hiked with family and friends up to Snow Lake (4100') from Alpental trail head yesterday, 29 species, nothing unexpected.
