I am glad I had time for a short visit to the river at Lyman (east of Sedro-Woolley in Skagit County).

At this site today were 11 species of shorebirds, plus some other hard-to-find species.

GREEN HERON, 1 adult.
Great Blue Heron, 1.
Green-winged Teal, 2.
Killdeer, 9.
SEMIPALMATED PLOVER, 2.
Wilson's Snipe, 1.
Greater Yellowlegs, several.
Lesser Yellowlegs, several.
SOLITARY SANDPIPER, 2 (feeding 200 meters apart from each other).
Spotted Sandpiper, 1.
PECTORAL SANDPIPER, 1 (my first of the year).
SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER, 1.
Western Sandpiper, 2.
Least Sandpiper, 24.
Rufous Hummingbird, 2.
Willow Flycatcher, 1 calling, and doing a few "fitzbew" songs.
Barn Swallow, 30 or so.
BANK SWALLOW, 1.
Northern Rough-winged Swallow, 4.
Violet-green Swallow, 5 or 10.
Common Raven, 1.
American Crow, 4.
Bewick's Wren, 1 singing.
American Robin, 1.
Black-capped Chickadee, 2.
Common Yellowthroat, 1.
Yellow Warbler, 1 still singing.
Savannah Sparrow, 1.
White-crowned Sparrow, 3.
YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD, 1.
